Colorado   July 28th 2012

We left home at 2:30 am Friday, drove straight through to Pagosa Springs trailering the 3 wheel motorcycle, and tending to 2 dogs. We arrived at Lori and Kathy's at 6:30 pm. John drove all the way again. One would think he does not like the way I drive.  Reene & Bob have been at the house since Wednesday. Reene had made chili for dinner and they saved us some. Yummm.  House now has 4 dogs. Tweety keeps showing Ricky her teeth.

We got to bed about 9:30 but woke up at 2:30 am. Guess I thought it was time to get up and go!

Lori, Kathy and Bob went for a hike. While they were gone John & I went for a bike ride up the hill to Wolf Creek Pass. Took some pictures at the "Great Divide" then stopped at the look out.  A group of women bikers from Albeque  NM. We had a chat with them then came back to the house.

Saturday Strip Club

Strip Club is not what you think!  Once a month I go into Bakersfield to a quilt shop that has a  group who makes quilts using patterns from fabric strips.  I have been going for several months now and enjoy it very much. These are some of my quilts.

July Friday the 13th

Friday : John had been working on my Jet Ski and we took it out to Lake Isabella for a test run. Put it in the water, started it up, jumped on, and just as I was saying what a great ride with the wind in our hair, the darn thing quit. We had to use my water shoes to paddle to shore, walk it back down to the ramp, load it back on the trailer and take it back home. When John checked it out, found the news was not good. The motor had seized.  He reminded me "never take anything out on Friday the 13th for a test run".

We went to dinner with Carl and Marilyn. Went to a new restaurant Marilyn had been to with Red Hat. Was Italian and food and servers were great!

Ice Cream Social

Friday July 6th we had an Ice Cream Social at Murrel & Connies.  Carl & Marilyn, Murrel & Connie, and John & I all made homemade Ice Cream. Shirley, Alice and Marci brought goodies and toppings. We had horse shoes, boat rides and Murrel even went into the creek for a swim.  Marilyn got us each a T-shirt with "RED" on it. Stands for "Retired Extreamly Dangerous."
