Selling House!!!

Lori was out again to help with sorting and boxing up many years of stuff.  Monday June 4th '18 we drove into Bakersfield and she flew back to Pagosa Springs, CO.  She and Kathy have purchased a big log home for retirement. They are still going back and forth from Pagosa to Austin as Kathy is selling her business in Austin. They will be making Pagosa their home by the end of July.

Technology's come so  far that Kathy will be able to work from Co.

Tuesday I did not get much done.....tired.

Wed. we did go down to the feed store for coffee, muffins and a good chat with friends. Left there and went by my  place to clean out a shed. Decided it was to bad to put stuff for the dump in the red car so went up to Johns.  We ended up going for a ride, in the Slingshot,  to Kernville.  Had lunch-dinner at Cheryl's and sat outside, just watching the world go buy.

Early evening we went for a "hike" in back of Johns.  We went out the gate and to the right. I had decided it would be easier to hike up, then it would be down hill all the way  back!  Worked out great.

Happy New Year 2017

I am still sick with this blast cold. Was sick for New Years eve so stayed home and went to bed early.
We woke up New Years day to about 6 to 7 inches of snow!!

Last of 2016

In 2016 John was at the Polaris dealership with the RZR. He started talking to a man who also had his RZR in for a recall.  They had a lot in common and Terry invited John out to the desert to go for a ride with a group he belonges to.  He had a great time and the next time they went I went with them also.

We have been on several rides with them and what fun we had had.  The last ride was Dec.29,'16  out off HWY 14. about 40 miles on the left. Horse cyn, I think. We met Terry and his wife at Denney's in Tehachapi for Breakfast then went out to camp. Had a good ride and campfire that night. I started getting a cold and by morning was sick.  It was overcast and cold so we packed up for home.

Catch up

It's been a long year since I have tried to post a blog. Going to give it a try.

Snowmobile

January 2nd. John has been working on the RAZ and converting it to our "old people" Snowmobile. He added tracks on the back and ski's in front. We went up to Shirley Meadow and outside of 2 cross country skiers, were the only ones in the back country.

This thing is really the way to go play in the snow. He has even rigged up a heater!  Feet stay toasty warm.

We went up to Portgage Pass then headed off to the right.  We were almost up to the Urt, but about
2 or 3 miles from it their is a tree down across the trail. Someone has cut a chunk out and regular snowmobiles can get around but we are about 2' wider than they are. We had a chain saw with us and tried to widen the path but saw blade is not long enough. Just made some sawdust.

Welcome 2016

Alice and Marci hosted a wonderful New Years Eve party.  Great eats and lots of visiting and laughs. They had special guests as Steve V. son and his son were visiting.  Steve's grandson Cory is on leave from Boot Camp and fit right in with all the "older" group.  As usual none of us actually made it until midnight!
